๐ŸŒ  WoW Forever Name Generator (Two Names)

Generate full two-part WoW Forever names by race and class: a main name plus a matching surname. Make family and guild sets too.

About this generator

World of Warcraft: Forever gives every character two names instead of one. Blizzard describes a main name and a second name, a bit like a first name and a surname, and the full pair has to be unique across your whole region. That makes the right name even more important, and even harder to get, so this generator makes complete two-part names that fit your race and class.

WoW Forever is built on the original game, so it has 9 classes and 9 races: Human, Dwarf, Night Elf, Gnome, Orc, Undead, Tauren and Troll, plus the new Skyborne. The generator only offers those, and only the race and class combinations that exist. Choose your race, class and gender, then press the button. Each result is a main name in the style of your race, plus a surname built from words that suit it. Orc surnames sound like Bloodfang and Skullbane, night elf surnames like Moonwhisper and Leafsong, and dwarf surnames like Ironhelm and Stonebrew. You can also base the surname on your class, or mix both.

Because Blizzard allows shared surnames, you can tick the family-set option to get many main names that all share one surname. It's ideal for a guild, a group of alts or a roleplaying family. Each name can be copied on its own, so you can paste the main name and the second name straight into the two fields in character creation.

Blizzard hasn't published length limits or allowed characters for the two names yet, so every name here is letters only, with each part 12 letters or fewer. All details may change, so check Blizzard's official announcements, especially around name reservation, which was announced for 27 October to 3 November 2026 ahead of the 4 November 2026 launch.

FAQ

Which races and classes are in WoW Forever?

Nine classes (Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock and Warrior) and nine races: the eight classic races plus the new Skyborne, who are Alliance (High Order) or Horde (Windshaper). Six new race and class combinations were also announced, including Orc Mage, Troll Warlock, Undead Paladin, Human Hunter, Gnome Priest and Dwarf Shaman.

Why can't I pick a race and class together?

Not every race can be every class, so the generator greys out combinations that don't exist in WoW Forever. Blizzard has said more combinations are planned for later.

How do two names work in WoW Forever?

Each character has a main name and a second name, like a first name and a surname. Both are chosen when you create the character, and the full pair must be unique within your region.

Do I have to have a second name?

Blizzard has said both names are required at creation. You can hide your own character's second name in the game world, but it still appears in chat.

Can I share a surname with other characters?

Yes. Characters can share a main name or a second name, as long as the complete pair is unique. That makes shared surnames good for families, guilds and alts.

When can I reserve a WoW Forever name?

Blizzard announced an early name reservation from 27 October to 3 November 2026 for eligible purchases, ahead of the 4 November 2026 launch. Details can change, so check Blizzard's official news.

Will the names I generate be available?

We can't check availability. Because the pair must be unique across the whole region, generate plenty of options and try more than one.

What are the length limits for the names?

Blizzard hasn't published them yet. To be safe, every name here is letters only and each part is 12 letters or fewer.
