Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
This policy explains what information Randomly ("we", "us", "our") collects when you use our website at randomly.life, how it is used, and the choices you have. We have tried to keep it short and clear. The short version: our generators run in your browser and what you type in them is not sent to us, but, like most free websites, we show advertising, and our hosting provider and our advertising partners may collect some technical information.
1. What we do not collect
- We do not ask you to create an account, so we do not collect names, email addresses, passwords or payment details.
- The generators run in your browser. Names, lists, options, passwords and results you enter or generate are processed on your device and are not sent to our servers or stored by us.
- We do not sell personal information.
2. Information that is collected automatically
Hosting and server logs. Our website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. When you visit, Netlify's servers process technical information needed to deliver the site and keep it secure, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages requested and the time of the request. We may use Netlify's analytics, which are based on these server logs and give us aggregate information such as the number of visits, popular pages and the types of devices used. See Netlify's privacy policy for details.
Local storage on your device. Some features save small pieces of data in your browser so the page remembers your settings. For example, the Four Kings (Kings Cup) page saves which rule you picked for each card, and the business name generator saves the names you mark with a heart. This data stays on your device, is never sent to us, and can be cleared at any time in your browser settings.
Domain availability checks. On the business name generator, if you press "Check availability", the domain name being checked (for example, a generated name plus .com) is sent to Cloudflare's public DNS lookup service (cloudflare-dns.com) so it can tell whether the domain is registered. Nothing else is sent, and the check only happens when you press the button. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for how it handles lookups.
Clipboard. When you press a "Copy" button, the text of that result is copied to your clipboard only because you asked.
3. Advertising and cookies
To keep Randomly free, we show advertisements, which may be provided by Google AdSense and its partners. Advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, device identifiers and similar technologies to show and measure ads, to limit how often you see the same ad, to detect fraud and, depending on your settings and location, to show ads based on your interests.
- Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- You can also opt out of many third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info (US) or youronlinechoices.com (Europe).
Ads that are not personalised may still be shown. They are based on general factors such as the content of the page you are viewing and your approximate location.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland: where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before using cookies or similar technologies for personalised advertising, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time.
You can also control cookies directly in your browser, including blocking or deleting them. Blocking all cookies may reduce the relevance of the ads you see but will not stop the generators from working.
4. How we use information
- To operate, secure and maintain the website
- To understand which pages are useful so we can improve existing generators and build new ones
- To show advertising that helps fund the site
- To respond if you contact us
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interests in running and improving a safe website, and on your consent for personalised advertising cookies where consent is required.
5. Sharing information
We do not sell your personal information. Technical information is processed by our hosting provider (Netlify) and, if ads are enabled, by advertising providers such as Google, who act under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information if required to do so by law or to protect the rights and safety of our visitors or the site.
6. Third-party links
Our pages may link to other websites, including sources we reference. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to read their policies.
7. Children's privacy
Randomly is a general-audience website and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets that age). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Some pages, including the drinking-game generators, are intended only for adults of legal drinking age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please email us at jorvanus@gmail.com or use our Contact page and we will help.
8. Your rights
Because we do not hold accounts or personal profiles, there is usually very little personal information about you for us to access or delete. Depending on where you live, you may have rights over any personal data we or our providers hold, including:
- If you are in the UK or EEA: the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
- If you are in California or another US state with a privacy law: the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell personal information. You can opt out of personalised ads using the tools in section 3.
To exercise any of these rights, please email us at jorvanus@gmail.com or use our Contact page.
9. Security and retention
We rely on our hosting provider's security measures and serve the site over HTTPS. Because we do not store what you enter into the generators, there is nothing for us to retain. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider according to its own retention policies.
10. International visitors
Our hosting and advertising providers operate internationally, so information about your visit may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. These providers use recognised safeguards for international transfers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add features or change providers. We will change the "last updated" date at the top of this page when we do, and we encourage you to review it occasionally.
12. Contact us
If you have any questions about this policy or your information, please email us at jorvanus@gmail.com or use our Contact page.
