🦊 Random Animal Generator
Pick a random animal for drawing, trivia, school projects or just for fun.
About this generator
The animal kingdom is full of strange and wonderful creatures, and sometimes the hardest part of exploring it is deciding where to start. This random animal generator picks a creature from a list that includes familiar favourites like penguins and giraffes alongside less familiar animals such as the axolotl, pangolin, binturong and numbat.
It's a handy tool for teachers, parents and students looking for a research topic, for artists in need of something to draw, and for anyone who simply wants to learn something new. Generate an animal, then spend ten minutes finding out where it lives, what it eats, how it raises its young and what makes it unusual.
You can also use it for games: play a version of 20 questions where one person gets an animal and the others have to guess it, or challenge friends to invent a short story starring the animal. For drawing practice, combine it with the Drawing Prompt Generator to add a setting or action.
