🎲 Random Decision Maker
Type your options, press the button, and let the random decision maker pick one for you.
About this generator
Indecision can eat up more time than the decision itself. This random decision maker is a simple tool for cutting through it: type your options, one per line, press the button and the tool picks one with equal probability. It works for choices big and small, such as where to eat, which film to watch, who goes first or what to do on Saturday.
The tool starts with 'Yes', 'No' and 'Ask again later' so you can use it as a quick oracle, but you can replace them with anything. Everything stays in your browser, so nothing you type is stored or sent anywhere. If you add the same option twice, it has double the chance of being picked, which is a simple way to weight your choices.
A useful trick is to notice how you feel when you see the result. If you feel relief, it's a good choice. If you feel a pang of disappointment, that probably tells you what you really wanted all along. Either way, you've made a decision, and that's usually better than staying stuck.
